Developed by a team of London-based environmental designers, we wanted to use our skills to prove that it is possible to produce a socially and environmentally sustainable, quality, yet inexpensive solution to the issue of single-use plastic bags. Greengrocer bags allow shoppers to use fewer plastic bags – it's not much more sophisticated than that!
OK UK, It’s so simple! You can show that you’re environmentally responsible by simply saying NO to single-use carrier bags and by using a Greengrocer bag instead.
Say NO to low density polythene carrier bags that pollute our countryside and harm our wildlife. Bags clog up our rivers and streams as well as create an eyesore in our towns and cities. They can take hundreds of years to break down and many millions end up in landfill. Most of us appreciate that single-use plastic bags are almost entirely unneccessary. With Britons using an estimated 13 billion carrier bags a year (that's a huge 181 bags per person per year*) its high time to make the change.
